Blooming hills bathed in vibrant summer hues, sunlight dancing across open landscapes – the new Zimmer + Rohde collection is a textile interpretation of natural scenery. Not a romanticized look back, but a contemporary take on generosity, expansiveness, and floral abundance.
Inspired by flora and fauna, BLOOMING HILLS translates the mood of landscapes into refined fabrics and understated design: atmospheric, open to interpretation. Natural materials, subtle text- ures, and narrative patterns are given poetic expression in this collection. True to Georgia O’Keeffe’s words, colors and shapes here often speak louder than words. Carefully composed blends of linen, cotton, and wool, along with finely tuned weaving tech- niques, define the tactile and visual character of this intentionally unhurried collection. The color palette ranges from delicate floral tones to the green nuances of an herb garden, and rich, earthy accents – always inspired by nature’s gift to uplift us.
A few highlights from the collection: MIDSUMMER, an artfully em- broidered all-over design on fine cotton satin, evokes a botanical sketchbook: lines, shapes, and movements come together in a lively floral rhythm.
The upholstery velvet CHERRY BLOSSOM is a composition of light and velvet. Like an endless carpet of blossoms, the design flows across the surface – inspired by the soft abundance of bloo- ming cherry trees. The three-dimensional floral elements appear to be drawn straight from nature.
CHALET – a high-pile wool fabric – conveys a sense of cozy comfort. Its lambskin-like surface is created through traditional finishing techniques, lending upholstered furniture a natural depth and a sensuous feel.
Finally, MESSINA SOFT captures the essence of elegant linen: in a new material blend with an even softer drape, this double-width curtain fabric features a subtle, wave-like structure – inspired by the texture of a sand dune landscape.

This fresh, all-over design—adorned with thoughtfully placed embroidery—captures the decorative richness of a garden in full bloom. Set against softly shimmering cotton satin, hand-drawn lines come to life through embroidery in varying expressions: some outlined with delicate precision, others fully appliquéd to create depth and contrast.
The subtle irregularities of the stitching give the pattern a pain- terly quality—a dynamic interplay of lines, surfaces, and textures reminiscent of botanical sketchbook studies. The result is a fabric alive with movement, detail, and character.

Rendered in finely nuanced tones, the lush floral shapes rise from the velvety pile, creating a striking sense of depth against the subtle matte sheen of the cotton satin base.
Exquisite épinglé technique refines the motif with delicate outlines, giving the blossoms an almost three-dimensional presence, as if nature itself had been pressed directly onto the fabric. A fine network of branches, woven from softly textured bouclé yarn, weaves a quiet dialogue of matte and gloss with the smooth satin ground.
